Healozone and DIAGNOdent

At the Practice we use revolutionary ‘pain-free’ methods:

Healozone

Healozone:

It is a revolutionary new technology for the safe and Effective, pain free treatment of caries with ozone

What is Ozone used for?

The technology utilises the direct application of ozone on the decayed tooth surface in a controlled manner through use of the HealOzone System and is capable of potentially reversing caries. Ozone kills the bacteria arresting the further development of caries.

How can Ozone help my teeth?

With the use of a small box, called the DIAGNOdent, we can look at the surface of your teeth to identify caries. The DIAGNOdent, detects changes in the mineral and crystal composition of the dentine (inner layer of the tooth exposed if the hard outer layer, the enamel, is stripped away by acid erosion). This gives an idea of whether or how much decay is present.

A special hand piece, with a soft plastic cup, is then used to apply ozone onto the decayed area. It is a short, simple and painless procedure. There are no injections, drilling or tooth amputation necessary, so no damage to your tooth.

Air Abrasion:

This revolutionary technique uses a form of pumice powder to remove dental caries. This method of decay removal eliminates the need for painful injections or drilling.

soft Tissue Laser

Intra Oral Cameras:

This allows the dentist to clearly illustrate to the patient the teeth being examined and highlight any potential problems.

Soft Tissue Laser:

To treat gum disease, crown lengthening and other soft surgery instead of conventional methods. No injection required for simple procedures.

When a patient has long treatment they are provided with DVD glasses so they may enjoy a film whilst their treatment is being provided.

At the Preventive Dental Practice we take pride in using the latest technology, the team looks forward to seeing you!

Hypnosis by relaxation

Our Principal Dentist, Dr. Rafia Malik has completed an advanced course in Hypnosis by relaxation. During this process the patient remains entirely conscious yet relaxed. The element of anxiety and phobia is removed by the hypnosis. However you are in complete control and can stop the relaxation process at any point your wish. A consent form must be signed at start of this treatment.
